One look at this Runco plasma display brings us a little closer to thinking that plasma really isn't dead yet. But you'll pay for this magnificent 65" screen with its 1080p resolution, because this set cost $19,995. Runco made itself famous by making intricately-engineered and finely-crafted projectors, and keeps up that grand reputation with this plasma display and its richly saturated colors. It has a serious contrast ratio going on, too, and no-nonsense Runco doesn't bullshit you with a lot of crazy contrast numbers—just taking a look at it told us we were looking at an HDTV set that deserved our respect. Now we'll just wait for that price to come down to about $5,000, and we'll pick one right up. – Charlie White |
