It might be an overloaded outlook. I use Outlook Express XP and I've no problems.

I've experienced this problem in the past, however. When I used Windows Millenium. I simply started using another e-mail client (like Outlook), you can try Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/) and there are others like Opera's Mail client, I have opera but I don't use that.

My recommendation is to check your computer, no other clients have reported this issue to us hence it doesn't seem to be a 'general problem'.

See if thunderbird fixes it, check your system for viruses and malware. Maybe other members can recommend you another good program for mail.

yeah, outlook is the program of choice because of the calendar and the usual ease of use. if anyone knows why i might be having problems, please let me know. i thought perhaps it was the communication with the server getting cut off while trying to upload files?

and the computer is clean of spyware/adware/viruses so that's not a worry at all.

The message is finally sent so it's not a server issue. Could be:

1) Your ISP's packet loss (which I doubt)
2) Timeout between you and the server (for this to be the case your isp must have problems with their uplinks or have bottlenecks somewhere)
3) Outlook is the problem.

Raid one of those questions, Install Thunderbird, and e-mail me some pics or faulty pictures to test it out. You will then see if it's outlook or not.

It can be a problem caused by Outlook itself, alot Microsoft apps do that..I'd suggest you to use another client, such as Eudora, Eudora.Com, or Thunderbird as NIS-Francisco already told.

But if you want to stick with Outlook check if you have the latest stable version up-to-date and if this is so and you're still expieriencing these problems look at you're settings.

yeah, i still can't seem to find the problem. This is on Outlook 2003, completely up to date - i use this on other computers and it's fine. The computer is completely clean of viruses/spyware. Outlook just freezes when the message tries to open. To get back into other messages, i just need to ctrl-alt-del from outlook and then get back into it. Also, if i try to open the email later on in the day, then i have no problems. This only happens occasionally, it's not on specific times during the day and it's not from specific people or sized attachments either... Francisco when you get a chance, please instant message me, or i'll try to message you if i catch you first. i have another idea which might help...

Hello,

You don't have your Forums Profile updated with your Instant Messenger information so I cannot contact you that way.

I have so many people in my buddy list I can't even find some friends there

Anyways, you always have my profile to IM me or e-mail me to francisco @SPAMBADnavigatoris.us (remove SPAMBAD)

Thanks
