Default HOW-TO: Fix Outlook Express printing problems

If you are trying to print any e-mails from Microsoft Outlook Express and you get:

Code:
Runtime Error 1343
You can fix it by:

1. Close Outlook Express

2. Click Start > Run

3. Then type (without quotes) "regsvr32 ole32.dll" and hit "OK"

4. Re-start Outlook Express and your problem should be solved.

Tested on Windows XP SP2.

Default Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0 runtime error

I had been trying to find a solution to this problem for weeks. I would open my Outlook Express and try to print an email and I would get this "runtime error" And then "Line 1343", then "unspecified error". Then it would ask me if I wanted to DeBug. It didn't matter if I hit yes or no, I still couldn't print my email. I went to Microsoft.com and various other "computer geek" websites looking for a solution to this problem. I did a google on it and came up with several websites stating the exact problem, with people writing into forums about the problem, but no solution was ever offered. I contacted my friend who is an IT specialist with a degree in Software Engineering from a prominent university in the US and has his own business fixing company networking systems that have problems, and he couldn't come up with a solution. Francisco at NIS is the only one who could fix it using his remedy listed here. THANK YOU FRANCISCO!!! You are an undiscovered treasure!!!

Thumbs up A Big Thank You to Francisco

I mysteriously started having this same problem yesterday. After fiddling a bit (unsuccessfully) with various registry cleaners I then pasted the error message in a Google search box. That's how I discovered this thread and potential solution. I followed Francisco's directions and bingo-bango..... the problem was fixed. What impresses me the most is that although easy to do, coming up with this solution obviously requires extensive knowledge and skill. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH. I have registerd with Navigator Internet Solutions and intend to stay in touch.

Hey Francisco..... you really rock!!!!!
